Dear Grandma

It’s spring again on NE 8th,
Blossoms falling on the B Line’s roof.
The voices of my choir mates
Bring to life my Bulgarian youth.
I stand with music in my ears,
Amongst a crowd, yet so alone.
And after many, many years,
I found my home away from home.
