Thin Walls

One “thunk” and I’m awake–
My upstairs neighbor’s baking cake.
Flipped the pan, spilled the bowl,
Sent the pieces out to roll.

I fall back to sleep but not for long.
A radio… what is that song?
Alarm nextdoor every morning at six
Is a problem I just can’t fix.
