Commute to Contentment

Looking up from my iPhone
Dozens of us in this moving box
I make eye contact with a stranger
Sharing acknowledgment of the moment
Merely our attention
Like a whispered secret
As the sun shines and we cross the Aurora Bridge
A pause brings contentment
Home is here and now
