POEM OF THE DAY
February 6
By the Sammamish river,
in the glow of a warm laptop,
two coders hold hands.
The stellar jay
an instant of blue
in the pine branches.
Necks craned over phones –
did anyone see
the heron’s flight?
Trees gave way
to office parks, still
the scamper of rabbits.
