The Paradise Of My Mind

Sitting on a mottled seat
while waiting for an e-mail to open,
I glance at the construction tower cranes
dotting the skyline
above the cars humming by
in tandem formation.
Home,
however,
is within;
it exists as
the steadfast companion traveler
cradled inside
the paradise of my mind.
