POEM OF THE DAY
June 28
My children place themselves
in front of me
full of needs and wants
although I pretend to sort
needs over wants
I know definitions defy explanation
as their bodies change shape
I’m lucky to be in these rooms with them
surely service is a form of love
My children place themselves
in front of me
full of needs and wants
although I pretend to sort
needs over wants
I know definitions defy explanation
as their bodies change shape
I’m lucky to be in these rooms with them
surely service is a form of love
