Hooygii

Kuwaa tagayoo go’odoomay
Kuwaa tahriib jiheeystay
Kuwaa toodii ka dhoofay
Kuwaa talo waalid diiday
Kuwaa todobaadyo baahan
Kuwaa lumayoo la toosin
Kuwaa taariiqda diidan
Alloow yaa noo turaayoo
Jahliga naga wada talaaloo
Hoyygii qaran noo tilmaamoo
Tubtiisii noo tusmeeya

Home

Some left and got stranded
Some fled to be smuggled
Some abandoned theirs
Some refused parental advice
Some starve for weeks
Some are lost and never directed
Some deny their history
O’God who will be kind to us
And immunize us from the ignorance
And direct us to the home of the nation
And show us the way to it.
