TO YEN…

POETIC INSPIRATION I started writing when I came to America, because I missed Vietnam so much.
HOME TASTES LIKE Canh chua cá kho tộ (sour soup and braised fish in a clay pot)
HOME SOUNDS LIKE The sound of bamboo and coconut rustling in the wind and paddles hitting the surface of the water, from the little boats on the river.

Autumn Stirs Memories

Autumn has arrived!
Here and there leaves of gold fall
Covering streets and sidewalks.
I wander, in sorrow spirit
Suddenly recalling! my homeland had been lost,
What insurmountable pain to be without Country.
The lament rages deep in my soul.
What must be done? My country continues its stormy path!
