POET OF THE WEEK
Cal Jones
Week of August 21
Here I sit
In the y-shaped branches of the
Tree
I close my eyes
Letting the sun soak through me
Warming me
I hear the river
Chuckling over the rocky bottom
And further on
Around the corner
Roaring laughter
From the rapids
Then
The thunderous
Boom
Of the waterfall
Here I sit
In the y-shaped branches of the
Tree
I close my eyes
Letting the sun soak through me
Warming me
I hear the river
Chuckling over the rocky bottom
And further on
Around the corner
Roaring laughter
From the rapids
Then
The thunderous
Boom
Of the waterfall
FAVORITE BOOK OF POETRY A Light in the Attic by Shel Silverstein.
EARLY WATER MEMORY Visiting the beach in Gearhart, Oregon.
TO PROTECT WATER I try to ride bikes, walk to school. I try to take short showers and conserve water as much as I can.
