POET OF THE WEEK

Depression is like being underwater
Holding your breath
And trying to keep swimming.
But then swimming becomes your life
And you begin to forget that you can’t survive under there,
Until it’s too late and you’re drowning
Your family and friends screaming.
Then you remember,
You can’t breathe underwater.

You can’t breathe underwater.
FIRST POEM I think I wrote my first poem in kindergarten. It was about mice.
