POET OF THE WEEK
Hayden Hunskor
Week of June 26
In the wake of donkeys, we trudge.
The dusty ground, a well worn haunt.
A jarring juxtaposition
of wealth and poverty
revealing nothing but solemn expressions,
parched lips,
and dreams of clean water.

FAVORITE LINE OF POETRY When Langston Hughes references the “blue cloud-cloth” in “The Dream Keeper.”
WRITING LIKE WATER My writing is similar to water in that it’s always changing.
FAVORITE LOCAL WATER Green Lake.
