Lantern Floating Ceremony Greenlake, August 6, 2015

Like water falling
over slick rock
thirsty souls beg
for peace, justice

This is our cry

Taiko drums echo
the cries of years ago.
Voices sing, “peace like a river”

This is our prayer

Silently people walk
to the shore, lanterns lit
floating messages of hope.

The water is witness.
