Our River

Duwamish once a river of bounty
      revered by Salish Tribes,
      then made ill by disrespecting newcomers.

Now waking from polluting ways,
       Dredging    Planting    Praying
       Osprey and Eagle soar,
       Otter and Salmon swim.

Spirit of returning life;
        our healing Duwamish Elder
