A Childhood Blessing

For my children, the water means more;
More dancing in the rain, the drip-drop rain,
the kind that tastes sweet and divine.

It means the magic of ferry rides,
the song of the sea,
the delight of tadpoles in the murky below,
And the croak of frogs calling us home.
