Snoqualmie River, Home

When you must bury me
Cast my ashes into the Snoqualmie river
Where I swam serenely
And my daughters found crayfish

I was helpless at its flooding
That trafficed Woodinville-Duvall
Or made the town an inland island

When I think of home
It’s on the other side of that river
